I went to the meeting Saturday. Now I’m thinking – what is the goal of this organization. We don’t need to make the Dems aware of what’s going on .They know. Who do we want to get to see our side? I think it’s the Trump voters. How do we do that? It’s not by being angry and obnoxious. I think we have to be smart. Our signs should make them think. What if we/they lose Social Security? Medicare? VA benefits? Constitutional rights like freedom of speech, press, due process, etc? By the press coverage of town halls, I think we’re seeing that a lot of Trump voters are not happy with what’s going on. We need to keep making them scared and unhappy. But they won’t tell us that they are unhappy or worried. They will think we are over the top. We need to be very sly and keep up a very subtle message that evokes more worry. The next election HAS to get more republicans voting against this MAGA movement. Not because they like democrats, but because they don’t like where the country is headed. So, our target audience needs to be those voters. We should all be thinking how to get them to see the light. Signs and posters need to show real things that are happening and that scare people in a short little blurb. “Stop DOGE” is too broad and really, wouldn’t we all like a more efficient government? . I saw a sign that says: SAVE Social Security. Now they can all say that the gov. won’t touch that, but then they will hear and see that some of the SSI offices are closing and/or will not do phone interviews anymore. They will remember the sign and think about it.
Anyway, that’s my two cents worth.
