Hands Off OC Rally April 5

Indivisible CA-45 Joined 6,000 Protesters in Santa Ana for April 5th National Day of Action

Thousands Take to the Streets in Santa Ana — And Indivisible CA-45 Was There!

On Saturday, April 5th, Santa Ana’s streets came alive with chants, signs, and solidarity as more than 6,000 people gathered for a powerful National Day of Action. Protesters from across Orange County and beyond raised their voices to defend democracy, fight for reproductive freedom, demand climate justice, and call out attacks on our rights.

And right in the heart of it all? Indivisible CA-45.

Our Members Showed Up Loud and Proud

Dozens of Indivisible CA-45 members joined the massive protest, bringing energy, handmade signs, and a deep commitment to progressive change. We stood shoulder to shoulder with labor unions, student groups, reproductive justice advocates, and fellow Indivisible chapters from across Southern California.

From chants of “No justice, no peace!” to “Our bodies, our choice!”, our presence was felt and our voices heard.

“It was incredible to see so many people united for justice,” said one CA-45 member. “This kind of energy gives me hope—and reminds me that change is possible when we show up.”

A Movement That Can’t Be Ignored

The protest wasn’t just about showing up—it was about showing power. The April 5th National Day of Action was a coordinated effort across the country to push back against authoritarianism and build momentum heading into the 2024 election season. In Santa Ana, it was clear: the people are watching, organizing, and ready to vote.

From signs supporting trans rights to calls for environmental justice and universal healthcare, this was a protest that brought together many issues under one rallying cry: People Over Politics.
